This week Aldi Goldthorpe Distribution Centre recieved the keys to their new warehouse and opened the doors for the first time...
Aldi have been working closely with Baxter Personnel recruitment agency (Recruitment Consultants Laurel Barr, Kristy Simpson and Sarah Leisner pictured above) to ensure new staff have completed Aldi’s comprehensive training program ahead of the opening. Aldi have so far received a huge response to the advertised roles including over 7.000 applicants for the Warehouse Operative positions which have been open since July 2014.
The next recruitment drive will be for 150 temporary to permanent Warehouse Operatives and this will begin at the end of October with expected start dates of late December to January 2015.
Baxter Personnel’s Recruitment Consultant in Barnsley, Sarah Leisner said “The recruitment process so far has been really positive for everyone involved. We have enjoyed working with Aldi on this project and we have had some great feedback, even from applicants who haven’t been successful.”
“There has been a lot of anticipation for these jobs from the local people and everyone in the area is really excited about the development. We have had an overwhelming response to the job vacancies with applications still flowing in.”
