Big Job Boost As Baxter Personnel Recruit Hundreds Of Roles In Sheppey For Aldi...

Supermarket giant, Aldi are set to yet again create hundreds of new jobs as they open another brand new £50million Distribution Centre, in Sheppey, Kent.


Baxter Personnel will once again be responsible for conducting the recruitment for the new Distribution Centre, as well as continuing to work with them on their Stores and Commercial campaigns up and down the UK.  The recruiter has built a strong longstanding relationship with Aldi that continues to strengthen as both companies expand across the UK. Baxter Personnel has previously staffed Aldi’s Regional Distribution Centres in Cardiff, Wales, and Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire, with great success. This will be their third large-scale recruitment project with Aldi and is a remarkable opportunity for the company to continue to grow alongside such a renowned retailer.


In anticipation of the large-scale recruitment, Baxter Personnel have promoted Account Manager, Jo Stickler, who previously worked on the Aldi Cardiff Distribution Centre campaign into a Senior Account Manager position to oversee the influx of roles at the new site in Kent.

Baxter Personnel will be launching the recruitment process with commercial positions, which will take place in the first half of 2018; this will allow Aldi up to 12 months to train staff before the centre officially opens next year.


As well as commercial staff, hundreds of warehouse and logistics jobs are set to be created at Aldi; the recruitment for these roles will start in early summer 2018. Senior positions will also be available at the Distribution Centre including Warehouse and Quality Section Leaders.


A high percentage of the positions available will be permanent, giving workers in Sheppey the reassurance of job security. Alongside these stable positions, Aldi are able to offer their staff a great rate of pay plus an extensive training package.


Construction of the site has already begun; work on the Distribution Centre is expected to be completed by March.
